Honda may refer to its new jet as a "flying sports car," but its undergone quite a bit of development to be one of the most impressive aircrafts in the sky. The new jet is already crushing expectations by securing two-to-three years of orders, indicating the new aerial offering may become profitable by the end of this decade. This is great news for Honda, which has made large investments in the new aircraft.

Honda Aircraft (the name for this branch of the company) is on track to become profitable around five years after the jet is finally released sometime next year. Though Honda hasn't announced the number of orders its received so far for these place, the company does place to produce 80 to 90 units annually over the next few years.

Honda Aircraft believes its large amount of knowledge in the automotive industry will aid the company in succeeding in the skies. Honda will focus on some growing markets, like Brazil and Indian, though the world's largest consumer of business jets, the U.S., will be catered to as well.

Honda is currently awaiting approval from the United States Federal Aviation Administration, so the jets have been delayed a bit, but delivery should begin soon. After a few years of success, Honda may even being fleet sales of the aircraft.
